Tango Northside was founded with the purpose of creating a community of dancers in Cincinnati and the Midwest who have an appreciation for — and the skill to find for themselves — the beauty and satisfactions that tango has to offer as a meaningful social activity and as a singular art form.

At Tango Northside we offer a systematic course of study for developing tango dancers. Four levels of classes are taught by instructors with many decades of tango study and experience. Each level, from Foundations A through C and on to Post-grad study, will train you for your further development as a dancer. The curriculum—comprehensive, thorough, and subtle—was developed by founder Michael Wizer, a product of his more than thirty years of study and teaching.

Classroom learning is not enough. Our Sunday practica is designed not simply for dancing, but for students to continue to develop their skills. Our culture at Tango Northside is that everyone helps everyone else in their development. And at our two monthly milongas, we model our music choices and structure our dances as they do in the traditional milongas of Buenos Aires.
